The Candidacy Process
God’s call towards ordained and licensed ministry is a privilege and opportunity to make a difference in the world. By responding, “here I am; send me,” clergy have the opportunity to serve in a variety of settings sharing God’s love with others and offering hope to our broken world. If you believe that God is calling you to licensed or ordained ministry in the United Methodist church, you are invited to join others in an intentional process of discernment through the candidacy process. An overnight retreat and group mentoring process will guide your time of discernment and allow you to be in conversation with many others who have heard God’s call to ordination.
