United Women in Faith (previously United Methodist Women) are women organized for mission, turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world. Our entire program focuses on mission. Our mission initiatives include:
- providing opportunities to grow spiritually.
- equipping women & girls to be leaders.
- providing transformative educational experiences.
- organizing for growth & flexibility.
- working for justice through service and advocacy.
United Women in Faith of the Western North Carolina Conference are organized in each of the eight districts, and in over local churches, in groups small and large, urban and rural. Our membership is intergenerational, from exciting new circles for elementary age girls and high school & college young women...to circles that include long time members age 100+, and everything in between!
ALL represent women organized for mission, and committed to the PURPOSE of United Women in Faith: United Women in Faith is a community of women, whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
