Date of Death: 2/19/2024 | Date of Birth: 5/12/1954; | ClergyWe've received word of the Monday, February 19, 2024 death of the Rev. Charles Sydnor Thompson III of Weaverville. Sydnor is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kelly Thompson; two daughters, Adaire Thompson Marshall (Michael) and Angela Thompson Khrichtchatyi (Yevgeniy); granddaughter, Charlotte; four siblings, Darcy Thompson Howard, Harriet Thompson Moore (Kevin), Brenneman Line Thompson, and Kathy-Line Thompson Kelly (Patrick); and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 871 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00am, with a reception for family and friends to follow in Grace Parish Hall.
