Date of Death: 1/2/2024 | Date of Birth: 11/6/1927; | Clergy SpouseWe have received word of the death of Mrs. Louise Leonard Pope of Albemarle on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Alvin B. Pope in 2020; their two children, Barry Stephen Pope and Myra Lois Young; and her son-in-law, Gene Ray Young. She is survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Young (wife Angie), Kevin Young (wife Kallie), and Cassie Miller (husband Chris); and eight great-grandchildren. A joint celebration of life service for Louise and Alvin will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at First United Methodist Church, 310 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292, with the Rev. Kaye Fry officiating.
