Mrs. Frances Armstrong

We have received word of the Sunday, September 24, 2023 death of Mrs. Frances Marie Dean Armstrong of Lincolnton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Mack M. Armstrong; brother, Daniel Guy Dean Jr.; and sister, Martha Ann Dean.  She is survived by sons: Floyd Daniel Armstrong (Kim) and Mark Wesley Armstrong (Kelly); daughter, Carolyn McCraw Durham (Rick); seven grandsons: Matthew Daniel (Vicki), Timothy Michael (Ana), Austin Neil (Natasha), Mason Wesley, Carson Scott (Britney), Joshua Brantley, and Alexander Mark; three great-grandchildren: Leighton Adaline, Rayden Sol, and Jameson Ian; her sister, Mary Louise Dean of Brevard; and special caregiver, Kerrie Thomas.  A funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at McKendree United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Greg Gordon officiating.  The family received friends at the church prior to the service.  Following the service, Mrs. Armstrong was laid to rest in the church cemetery.
