Mrs. Emily Beaty

We have received word of the Saturday, December 9, 2023 death of Mrs. Emily Nan Grier Beaty of Mt. Pleasant, SC.  Emily was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. F. Donald Beaty; her sister, Esther Mae Grier Wall; and brother, Rufus A. Grier Jr.  She is survived by her three children: Rufus Beaty (Beth), Susan Hamner (Mark), and Harold Beaty (Laura); six grandchildren: Ben (Vanessa), Chris, Grace (Matt), Julia, Emily (Davis), and Thomas (Alanna); and great-grandsons: Henry Russell and Riley Grier, plus an expected third great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, December 18th, at 11:00am at Central United Methodist Church, 30 Union St N, Concord, NC.  A reception with the family will be held immediately afterwards.  She will be laid to rest in the old Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7311 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC at 2:30pm.
