The project told the fascinating story of a local church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This project in a real sense was not simply a model of an effective urban church, it
was an effort to demonstrate principles of effective urban ministry. The project is a blend of theory and action, principles and examples. A theoretical approach makes it applicable to any urban setting, and the example of the local church I chose brought to life and showed that truly effective urban church is a reality.
