You are invited to participate in the General Conference Special Sunday

Bishop Ken Carter, resident bishop of the Western North Carolina Conference, and Bishop Connie Mitchell Shelton, resident bishop of the North Carolina Conference, invite United Methodist churches across the state to join hearts and spirit on March 3 or other appropriate Sunday, as we lift up those serving during the upcoming General Conference. Here's how you can participate:

• Share this flyer and invite your congregation to serve on the host team during General Conference
• Use this liturgy and prayer during worship to bless delegates and those serving during General Conference. We encourage all United Methodist congregations to use the prayer of commissioning in worship on this special Sunday, while the litany is intended for use by congregations with General Conference delegates and/or volunteers.
• Share this video of Bishop Carter and Bishop Shelton.
• Provide an opportunity for members of your congregation to participate in the 24-hour prayer vigil for General Conference on April 21 by inviting members to pray every hour for the full 24 hours.
